While connected to PSR, preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion is a separate program with a separate registration. Reception of First Communion presumes 2 years of prior, formal faith formation, understood to be completion of Grades 1 and 2 in a PSR, Catholic School, or Catholic homeschool program. The preparation program involves monthly formation gatherings held on Sunday evenings during the school year. Registration for the First Reconciliationa and First Communion preparation program occurs in September.
