WHO WE ARE

The Holy Spirit Ladies Guild has been an active organization since 1965.  With over 130 members, we continue to expand our activities and charitable outreach.

Guided by faith, prayer and concern for others, our focus is to encourage spiritual and social interaction, promote social and fund-raising events, support parish and community functions, and contribute to a number of charities.  Staying true to our original By-Laws, we constantly grow and change, re-inventing ourselves to meet the needs of our Parish and Community.

Officers of the Guild invite all ladies to consider joining this committed, vibrant group of women and become involved in the social and spiritual life of the Parish.

We welcome you to participate in our activities, events, and meetings.  In past years we have treasured the friendships made and the closeness shared through the planning and execution of our events and fund-raising efforts.   As we embark on this new season, new friendships will be made, and our mission will continue to thrive.  We welcome your support, your ideas, and your fellowship – and invite you to join us at a General Meeting.

WHEN WE MEET

GENERAL GUILD MEETINGS are held on the Third Thursday of the month from September through May in Father Mosovsky Hall on the Parish Campus.  General Meetings are at 7:00 p.m.; Dinner Meetings are at 6:30 p.m.

BOARD MEETINGS are held on the First Tuesday of the month from September through June at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Spirit Room of Father Mosovsky Hall.

WHAT WE DO

BIRTHRIGHT supports women facing unplanned pregnancies.

BRIDGE.  Games and lessons are held year-round on the Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Library.

CHRISTMAS PROJECTS.   The dedication of volunteers and parishioners’ generosity brings Christmas to over 300 children and families in our parish, our sister parish of St. Boniface and other charities.  The Twelve Days of Christmas Raffle benefits Lorain’s St. Elizabeth Center.

FIELD TRIPS.  Day excursions will be planned quarterly to various area attractions.  See Sunday Bulletins for dates and details.

GARAGE/BAKE SALES, our major fund-raisers, are held twice a year, Spring and Fall, in the Hall.

JULIET LUNCHES will be planned for the First Tuesday of most months.  See Sunday Bulletins for dates and location details.

LITTLE RED SCHOOLHOUSE, our Summer project, collects school supplies for the children of St. Boniface and CRS.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY.   Our members hand-craft shawls, blessed by our Parish priest, which are available in the Parish Office.  Sunday Bulletins list display dates.

PULL FOR THE HOUSE benefits Cleveland’s Ronald McDonald House.  Pull tabs should be deposited in the Church Narthex.

THE HOLY SPIRIT LADIES GUILD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM was created in September of 2020 to benefit the youth of the Parish.
