Adult Faith Formation
“Catechesis for adults, since it deals with persons who are capable of an adherence that is fully responsible, must be considered the chief form of catechesis. All the other forms, which are indeed always necessary, are in some way oriented to it.” (General Directory for Catechesis, 59)
“[Jesus] then came down with them and stood on a spot of level ground, where there was a large crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all sections of Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon. They had come there to listen to him….” (Luke 6:17-18a)
Because the catechetical mission of the Church seeks the doctrinal, moral, and spiritual growth of Catholics of all ages, Holy Spirit parish seeks to provide a variety of appropriate formational opportunities that embrace all the faith dimensions of an adult life. Included in these opportunities Scripture study, small groups for faith sharing, annual missions, and video-based learning experiences.
Please contact the Parish Catechetical Leader for more information on faith formation offerings for adults.
